Who is behind ChemNetz?
With ChemNetz, a new analog and digital city map of Chemnitz is being created, showcasing the local offerings of grassroots urban culture. The map highlights cultural and participatory spaces, community gardens, places for exchange and sharing, and much more. Our focus is on experiencing the city beyond the popular landmarks and consumer hotspots. ChemNetz not only gives you an overview of the cool places in the 39 districts, but also shows you how to get involved, engage, and become active yourself.

A first version of ChemNetz will be launched in 2025, with plans for continuous expansion over the coming years. From May to October 2024, places and stakeholders were able to apply via a form. The content of ChemNetz was developed collaboratively with a mapping advisory board.

The city map is being created in cooperation with USE-IT Europe, the locations on the map, the Hand in Hand Bündnis, the Netzwerk für Kultur- und Jugendarbeit and the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025 gGmbH.

​Eine erste Version von ChemNetz wird 2025 veröffentlicht und über die nächsten Jahre kontinuierlich weiterentwickelt. Im Rahmen eines Bewerbungsprozesses konnten sich Orte und Akteur*innen von Mai bis Oktober 2024 über ein Formular bei uns melden. Die inhaltliche Gestaltung von ChemNetz erfolgte in Zusammenarbeit mit einem Kartenbeirat.

Die Stadtkarte entsteht in Kooperation mit USE-IT Europe, dem Hand in Hand Bündnis, dem Netzwerk für Kultur- und Jugendarbeit und der Kulturhauptstadt Europas Chemnitz 2025 gGmbH.
